Featured Designer: Melissa Lane

Melissa Lane is back today sharing some inspiration!

Hi! Melissa Lane here again! I'm happy to be back for my third week as CASology's Featured Designer. Today, I'd like to dedicate my post to my father, Paul Freeman Thibodeau, who is an incredibly gifted artist.

Here's one of his paintings.

Thanks, Dad. I love you. Your tender heart, love for your family and beautiful talent are all inspirational to me.

So today, I thought that I'd share some of my drawing, painting and and maybe a little bit of my "getting messy" with you.

Here is one of my more Clean And Simple sketched and painted cards.

I hope you will drop by my blog post and that all the messy-inkiness won’t rock your "CAS world" too much! ;)

Week 207: ROUGH

It's time for a new cue word!  Your week's going to take a rough turn with the help of CASology!  Don't worry, you'll survive!  Promise!

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

STAMPlorations is returning as our wonderful sponsor and is offering this week's winner their choice of either a $10 gift certificate to the online store OR 2 ARTplorations stencils!  Remember, during the weeks STAMPlorations is sponsoring us, you can refresh your craft stash with the help of the 10% off discount code, CASOLOGY!

Did you know that STAMPlorations now has their own line of dies, CUTplorations?!  You have to go see them in the online store!  Both stand alone and coordinating dies are available!  Also, have you played along in their never-ending Anything Goes Challenge lately?  For every 50 cards linked up, a winner is chosen for a $10 gift certificate to the online store!

Let's take a look at what the design team and this week's guest designer created for inspiration!
