Week 57: PICNIC

We're going on a picnic and you're all invited!  Summer is winding down and picnics are on the activity list for many before autumn begins to sneak into our surroundings.  We can't wait to see what everyone brings to feast our eyes on here at CASology this week!

The design team and this week's guest designer have created some fresh inspiration for you, so let's take a look!

Guest Designer:  Kanan

Bold and bright colors on images with some dimension makes a clean and simple card more attractive.

Melissa
  design defined:
Small touches of color can add interest on an otherwise monochromatic CAS design.
design defined:
A small card is perfect for a CAS design.

Tracey
design defined:
Don't be afraid to build a scene on your CAS card.

Ardyth
design defined:
Simple blocks of colour can tell a story!

Gillian
 design defined:
Adding a simple sentiment and embellishment to a busy background keeps a card CAS.

Jen
design defined:
Repeating one pattern makes a design cohesive.

Judy
design defined:
You can still create a scene with minimal layers and lots of white space!

design defined:
Sometime the perfect stamp is not a stamp.  Feel free to be creative for a more personal touch!
With hand drawn images, keep the color palette minimal to maintain a CAS look.

Maureen
 design defined:
If you struggle with "white" space, try placing all of your elements in one area.
This helps keep the rest of your design clean.

Meghan
design defined:
A patterned paper background works with a clean and simple card but keep the focal point on the simple side.

Now go have fun and don't forget to link up your PICNIC creations by Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (CDT)!
